The journey 北京-Улаанбаатар-Ирку́тск-Москва́
On this trip I visited four cities, where I have never been before: Beijing, Ulan Bataar, Irkutsk and Moscow. I started the journey in Beijing where the legendary Transsiberian Railway took me through the mountains, to the mongolian capital and desert, and later across the mongolian border, to the russian forests and the biggest agglomeration of Europe, Moscow. During this journey I documented the mood in the train and from the windows. When the train stopped I communicated with people: at train stations, in the cities and in the countryside. I wanted to record the evolution, the differences between people and places as I advanced through this sparse landscape. I discovered unknown customs and unfamiliar sceneries. While I crossed two borders and made a huge distance in a slow pace, I developed a pictorial diary in my mind.
